The Technology Solution Center (TSC) is a technology inquiry routing and review process that lives within IT. TSC facilitates adoption of existing technologies as well as stewards the technology acquisition process. When a department, employee or student has a business or academic need that can be solved by technology, they should contact the TSC.听
Using the Technology Acquisition Policy as a guidepost, the TSC helps the 成人AV community adopt new technology as needed.
Technology Solution Request
Submit the if:
- you need assistance identifying a technology solution to meet your business and academic operations need
- Examples include but are not limited to educational technologies, business operation technologies, marketing software, project management, survey tools, case management, appointment scheduling, and productivity tools
- Please review the Software Catalog to see enterprise options available
- your technology request does not fall under one of the options listed below
Technology and Data Services Review
Submit the if:
- you are purchasing technology to be used as part of your teaching curriculum or for research (grant funded)
- you are signing up for a free trial of any software or trial for a new module to existing software platform听
- you need a technology review as you are adding modules to an existing technology
- you need a technology review for a contract renewal
- you are signing a contract with a third-party vendor (non-technology acquisition) that includes sending or receiving data to the service provider
- Example: Kaiser is 成人AV's health insurance provider and 成人AV sends and receives data from their system. This is not a a software acquisition. However, since Kaiser houses 成人AV data, a technology and data services review must be completed to ensure safeguarding of 成人AV constituent data.
- you are purchasing or trialing a new technology that will be accessing, storing, sending/receiving, or hosting 成人AV data (private, student, confidential, proprietary, research-related, or any other sensitive data). Personally identifiable information can include identifiers such as name, email, 成人AV ID#, or other personal details. Please refer to the听成人AV Policy on Data Classification听for more information on data types.
