New Faculty Academy
The New Faculty Academy is 成人AV鈥檚 year-long onboarding program designed for new faculty members (up to year three at the university) who are eager to develop as teacher-scholars. We invite you to join our community to learn more about the teacher-scholar model; access and understand university resources, supports, and systems; advance your career goals and development, connect with other faculty on campus, and enhance your teaching and learning practices.

Expectations for the New Faculty Academy Include:听
- Attendance at three academy events: New Faculty Orientation; Winter Retreat; Spring Celebration听
- Attendance at a monthly workshop. Topics may include teaching and learning, research supports, shared governance, well-being, student supports, promotion and tenure, and more!听听
- Completion of the Foundations of Teaching Badge听
All participants of the New Faculty Academy who complete the program requirements will receive a certificate of completion and a personalized letter to their Dean and Department Chair.听 听
Foundations of Teaching
The Foundations of Teaching program offers a flexible, self-paced journey through six essential modules, from student-centered teaching to inclusive practices and university citizenship. Participants gain practical strategies, connect with 成人AV鈥檚 teaching community, and earn a digital badge upon completion.
